Border Patrol Graduates 75 At Academy Rites
Seventy five candidates completed a 14 week training at the Border Patrol Academy in San Pedro California on Wednesday June 7 1907. The graduation address was delivered by Judge Philip M Newman of Los Angeles Municipal Court second division. Attendees included Southwest Region San Pedro Port Isabel District and Immigration and Naturalization Service officials. State Will Push Houston Valley Expressway Plan
The state plans to spend 126 million dollars over the next decade to build the Houston Brownsville expressway. The route will run from the Valley to Victoria along U.S. 77 and U.S. 59 into Houston, about 25 to 40 miles inland from the Gulf. Willacy County line rights of way near completion, with some purchases and construction underway in Harris County and segments east of Victoria. Cameron County officials say the project could become a world class highway.

Ground Broken For Loran Station By Coast Guard Leaders
