Winter Bird-Watching Tales From the Platte Valley
The writer details a busy period of bird watching in the Platte valley, noting a pied billed grebe found by Wayne Stevens and Swede Lind. He catalogs numerous species including robins, sparrows, finches, cedar waxwings, bluebirds, and a bald eagle sighting, with movement across fields, hedgerows, and shelterbelts. The piece blends field notes with humor about the lone observer and local helpers.
