Mr P W Aker entered Osceola hospital on Thursday and had surgery Saturday for a broken hip from a fall. Clifford Branting returned home after eight weeks in hospital. Martin Hoffman Sr returned home after five weeks in Aurora hospital. Bill LaVelle was dismissed from Lincoln General hospital. Mitch Werner came home from York hospital on Friday. Gerald Stevens remains a patient at Bryan Memorial Hospital Lincoln, transferred from York last week.
Mr and Mrs Bill Hokensen and Kristi of Lincoln were weekend guests of her parents Mr and Mrs Dean Myers. Sunday visitors in the Ostberg home included Marvin and Randall Runquist of Eagle Minnesota visiting their mother Mrs Grace Runquist in Stromsburg. Numerous relatives visited various homes as visits and family gatherings continued through Sunday afternoon and supper.
Osceola Nebraska county commissioners meet November 7 1972 at 10 A M with all members present. Claims are audited and warrants issued for numerous items including court costs travel expenses utilities printing and bond premiums. Resignation of the County Superintendent effective January 1 1973 approved. Vet service officer quarterly report and Extension Office annual report approved. Adjournment set for November 21 1972.
A pot luck dinner marked Roy Miller's 88th birthday Sunday at East Avenue United Methodist Church in York. Relatives joined friends from McCool, Lincoln, Bradshaw, Benedict, Polk, Clarks, Stromsburg, Wahoo, Crete and York, including several Polk attendees. Roger Goddard hosted family visitors with Mr and Mrs Victor Doremus in Grand Island and Don Rodine's Beaverton, Oregon trip noted as well.
