Eckles Makes Business Trip to Osceola and Local Visits
Eckles made a business trip to Osceola Tuesday. Misa Néllie Lind traveled to Osceola Saturday afternoon. Mr and Mrs George Mitchell were Central City visitors Friday. W P Miller and Harlan Frazier drove to Lincoln Mawnan 44 TALUS. Rystrom displays a new Dodge ad. F W Peterson visited Polk from Stromsburg Friday. Mrs Golden Garretson arrived from Lincoln Friday to care for her music class. Wim Whitworth and wife moved to the Ray Sealey farm northeast of Polk. The Guild Girls met at the A C Jones home Monday with Mrs Clara Anderson, Martha Jones and Elsie Coordes hostesses. A program directed by Miss Alkire featured nations dress. A short business session followed led by president Miss Katherine Bay. Guests viewed World War souvenirs and trophies brought home by Lt Carl Jones. Several shells and firearms were shown, followed by a dainty lunch to close.
