Chadron State Normal English Club Chartered as Sigma Tau Delta

A charter was granted on March 16 making Chadron State Normal English Club the Sigma Beta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta. Initiation of twelve members and six pledges occurred May 1 at the McMillan tea room followed by a dinner. Toasts honored Frances Burnham, Martha Rogers Clements, and Gena Saunders.

Traffic Signals Installed at Grand Island Crossings

Electric signals began operating at six main crossings in Grand Island business district. They will not run during early morning light traffic. Weekday service starts at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday service at 2 p.m.
