Mrs Louis Beckman Passes After Lingering Illness

Mrs Louis Beckman died at the family home early Wednesday after a lingering illness. She was 76 years, 3 months and 9 days old. Funeral services will be held Sunday at the home at 2 00 PM and at the Baptist church in Polk at 2 30 PM. Rev Salon of Hordville will deliver the sermon.

Charles W Flick Dies Suddenly at Home

Charles W Flick prominent Arborville farmer dies at 57 after brief illness. He had run for state senator twice on the Democratic ticket and was active in politics and local organizations. Funeral at his home at 2:00 this Thursday with survivors including his widow, five sons Wayne Atlantic and five daughters Ethel Elith Enid Florence Bonnie, plus sisters and brother.

Shower Honors Miss Marguerite Marks at Nelson Home

A miscellaneous shower was given Friday evening at the home of Gertrude and Hazel Nelson with Mrs Clark Snodgrass and Mrs Ira Gasser as assisting hostesses honoring Miss Marguerite Marks. Forty guests attended including out of town guests Miss Della Marks Naponee Miss Margaret Valentine and Miss Mable Johnson York. The evening featured formalities and gifts hidden with alarm clocks. Feshful Workers Club Meets for Lessons and Social Hour

The Feshful Workers Club met with Mrs John Peterson on May 15 with eleven members and visitors present. Roll call noted Flower Hints. Lessons on None Relief Painting were taught by Mrs Joe Wilkinson and found very interesting. Refreshments were served by Mrs Wilkinson and Mrs Williams. The club adjourned to meet with Mrs Lackey for an all day meeting in June, with a Salmagundi lunch to be served.
