Hordville Ladies Aid Hosts Busy Mother's Day Program

The Hordville Baptist Ladies Aid met at the church for a Mother's Day program led by chairman Mrs Rudolph Gustafson with Rev Henry Nyberg as guest speaker. A noon luncheon followed for about sixty members and visitors. Numerous local families and relatives are noted visiting, hosting dinners, and attending church events across Wausa, Grand Island, North Platte, and Chapman areas.

Lawrence Erickson Hosts Birthday Guests

Sunday evening gatherings at the Lawrence Erickson home celebrated Roger and Marcelyn’s birthdays. Hordville news highlights a school operetta May 2 directed by Mari an Paulsen and Verna Erickson, a track meet May 4 where Richard Anderson won the 220 yard dash, and upcoming baccalaureate May 14 with commencement May 16. At a Beulah Cemetery Association meeting near Silver Creek Mrs Bethel King of Polk was elected Treasurer and Mrs Florence Doremus of Polk Secretary. Mrs Horace Stevens and Thomas Alan thank friends for support during hospital stay with cards gifts and visits. Mr Oscar Jones and family visited. Roger and Kenneth Werner visited the Irvin Light home. Mr and Mrs Ben Peterson hosted relatives Sunday.
