Miss Mildred Nelson suffers a broken collar bone and Miss Martha Jones is badly bruised after a car driven by Francis McMurren from the east collides with them as they alight from another auto at the street crossing by the Baptist church. Martha Olive Lewis died at age 65 at her son Walter J. Lewis home at midnight. Born March 8 1855 in Polk County Iowa she married William Lewis Feb 18 1875 and moved to a Polk County Nebraska homestead where she lived rest of life. Survived by seven children with Albert M. predeceasing her, she joined United Brethren as a girl and aided the sick. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 PM in the Baptist church with Rev. Neal officiating.
