Funeral at Beaver City Presbyterian Church with interment at Kearney. Survived by wife and children Elaine in California Marsha Axtell Neb Niel Dunlay How ard of Omaha a sister Grace Exeter three brothers Frank Edson York and Walter Montana. Friends attending included Mr and Mrs Jim Riley and daughters and Mr and Mrs Elmer Piper Benedict.

Edick A. Anderson Jr. former U S Information director in the Ruhr at Essen spoke at Hordville Baptist Church. He discussed postwar Germany, noting low unemployment, rising electricity use, and German interest in America. He urged aid through churches and libraries, praised the World Herald, and described a $600000 library funded by Marshal Plan grain and government funds. He and his wife, Mrs. Anderson, met in Berlin five years ago and shared his 41 months of service, including time in the German zone.

The first grade finished a first level book and will complete a second level primer soon. They began a booklet of circle flower drawings. Fifth and sixth grades studied Joyce Kilmer Trees and created covers for weekly readers. Fifth grade social studies made a colorful map of Canada noting provinces instead of states.
