Cherri is a 1974 Stromsburg High School graduate, attended Trinity College Deerfield HI, and works in Stromsburg. Lindburg is a 1974 Polk High School graduate, attended Central Technical Community College Hastings, and is farming. A September 24 wedding at the Ev Free Church in Stromsburg is planned.

Polk Fourth of July Celebration Planned with Food and Games

The Polk Community Club schedules a barbecued chicken and beans feast, ball games, and fireworks on July 4 at the ball field. A Saturday bingo on Main Street at 7:30 p.m. benefits the library relocation, with rain plan to Community Hall. Library fundraisers begin at 3 p.m. with bazaar cake sale ice cream social bake sale and candy sale.
