Polk Pep Band Invited to Hampton Booster Days

The Polk Pep Band is invited to Hampton Booster Days on July 8 and 9. They will play during the supper hour Friday July 8 with last year’s members only. If unable to participate, contact Mrs. Cunningham to arrange substitutes and volunteers to drive cars. Initiates Two Into Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary met at the Legion Hall on Monday evening June 13. Mrs. Wilfred Stephens initiated two new members Mrs. Ed Saylor and Mrs. Eva Stephens. New officers were installed: President Arnold Neuhaus, Vice President Roger Werner, Secretary Clarence Van Osttrand, Treasurer Ernest Brockevelt, Sgt at Arms Anna Kisler, and Bernard Litty. Historian Don Ostberg and Chaplain Victor Doremus also noted. Attendance awards honored Mrs. Neuhaus, Mrs. Bob Baack, and Mrs. Kisler. A Legion steak supper was voted for June 27. A lunch was served by Mrs. Harold Anderson and others.
