The board approved Anton Pokorney for a new five year term on the Polk County Service Coordinating Committee and authorized a state road department contract to strip center lines on hard surface roads. Mr and Mrs Milfred Johnson visited the Rudolph Gustafson home Friday evening. Rudolph Gustafson hosted Carroll Erickson Saturday evening. Mr and Mrs Jim Butt of Gering Nebraska stayed a few days in Nelson King’s home. Oscar Sundberg entertained two Sundberg cousins from Canada at a Thursday noon luncheon with Hannah Bodine and Emma Johnson as guests. An all school reunion was attended at Beaver Iowa on Sunday. Widga and family spent Sunday evening with Bill Carlson in Stratford Iowa and returned Monday. Sheila Flodmar spent a week in Kearney with Max Kroger and family. Gilbert Lampshire and wife drove to Overland Park Kansas to visit Marvin McKenzie and daughter and son-in-law. They attended Earl Lampshire and wife Dr. Earl Lampshire’s 25th wedding anniversary in Lincoln.
