Strombergs Hold 44th Annual Family Picnic

The Stromberg family picnic took place June 15 at the Viking Center in Stromsburg with about fifty attendees sharing a cooperative dinner. Committee leaders were Mr and Mrs Richard Cramer and Mr and Mrs Richard Sealey, with next year’s organizers Mr and Mrs Hollis Stromberg and Mr and Mrs Claude Stromberg.

Linda Swanson Tops UNL Cadets at Spring ROTC Awards

Cadet Linda Darleen Swanson, BIS I from Polk, received a $100 scholarship during the Spring Army ROTC awards event as she was ranked first among 35 freshmen with a 3.9 GPA. The Department President praised Unit efforts in distributing Memorial Poppy funds benefiting Children and Youth and Veterans Affairs programs.
