School Board conducts regular meeting in Polk County

The Polk County District No. 72 Board of Education met with all members present on Tuesday January 2. Proceedings include approval of last minutes and bills from multiple suppliers and services. Harvey Sundberg motioned to accept bills, seconded by Richard Sealey Jr, motion carried. A motion to allow Miss Sprau to buy a new tuba for the music department was approved. Allyn Chambers was verified for successful experience for standard certificates. Meeting adjourned.

Ostberg family hosts anniversary and gatherings in Nebraska

Mr and Mrs Elmer Ahlquist of Stromsburg entertained at a one o'clock all host dinner Sunday. Guests included Elmer Naslund Clarence Carlson and Milton Anderson families from Stromsburg. Ostbergs hosted 45th wedding anniversary celebrations in Grand Island and hosted visitors Martin Hoffman Sr Nelson King. Wendy Redman visited grandparents Mr and Mrs Albert Redman and Mrs Glen Lundy, then returned home with Albert and supper guests in Ralph Redman home.
