Bobbie and Robin Carlson of Smith Center Kansas spent Christmas with grandparents Harold Carlson and family. Donald Moore and family from Kansas City Missouri joined Friday for New Year’s with Carroll Flodman and Robin.

Miss Gert Medema and Arlan Stromberg wed in Sioux Falls

Miss Gert Medema and Arlan Stromberg were married December 9 at Asbury Methodist Church in Sioux Falls South Dakota. The couple plans to reside in Lincoln Nebraska where Stromberg studies at Nebraska Wesleyan and works at Lincoln General Hospital.

Sunday School Bowling Party Hosted by Polk Church Classes

The 7th and 8th grade Sunday School classes at Polk Methodist Church, guided by teachers Mrs Forrest Anderson and Mrs Irvin Anderson, held a bowling party at Central City lanes. High scorers Wanda Flodman, Lynette Larson, and Kent Anderson received prizes and the group later shared lunch. Transportation was provided by Mrs Don Miller, Mrs Wayland Flodman, and Mrs Forrest Anderson.

Christmas and New Year Guests in Central City Area

Kathie and Terry Bender spent Christmas with their uncle and aunt the Eaton family in Central City. New Year’s Day dinner guests included Duane Eaton, Melvin and Cecil Eaton, Don Eaton, Rex, and Paul Bender among Central City and Clarks residents. Additional gatherings featured the Benders visiting Johnsons in Clarks and the Flodman and Hoffman households. Lt. and Mrs Douglas Stevens left for Fort Riley after visiting Osceola and area relatives.
