Obituary of Mremma Swedenburg of Polk County
Mremma Swedenburg born May 1861 in Werestad Smaland Sweden left in 1895 and arrived in this country in May. She married W O Swedenburg Sept 17 1886 and had five children. They lived on a Polk County farm until 1920 then retired to Polk. She died Feb 4 1929 at 67 years 8 days. Funeral at Mission church led by Rev Wesund and Rev Ekwall. Burial in Swede Plain cemetery beside her son. She leaves husband Oregon Arthur three daughters Mable Grimes Edith Doremus Lillie Becketrom one son Ward who died Oct 28 1928, thirteen grandchildren, sister in Sweden and many relatives.

Ingrid Elizabeth Johnson nee Johnson, born December 15 1902 in Jonkoping Sweden, moved to America in 1921, married LeRoy Nelson in Hordville Nebraska, died February 6 1929 at Polk Nebraska after illness. Survived by husband LeRoy, parents B E Johnson, sister Elsie, Sweden relatives, and friends. Funeral held at Hordville Baptist Church with burial in the Baptist cemetery east of Hordville.
