Soap and a dime and a clean bum
A humorous reminiscence on chasing a bar of soap amid rising costs. The narrator notes the rise in prices from a dime to twenty five cents, the soap’s quick disappearance, and the impact on finances as office expenses climb. The piece ends with the soap aging and dissolving in water, reflecting on changing times.
