Wheat crop outlook and livestock market analysis from Nebraska extension

The 1963 wheat crop is estimated at 1.2 billion bushels with carryover likely larger by July 1, 1964 due to stronger 1963 crop demand and lower exports. Domestic use has changed little in 30 years while per capita consumption falls and U S share of world wheat exports rises, aided by government subsidies. Feed prices and marketing guidance for cattle, hogs, turkeys, eggs, and vaccination timing for hog cholera are outlined with regional notes and price expectations through summer and fall.
