Migrators On Their Journey Spur New Bird Sightings
A field note from a winter to spring birding trip reports bluebirds, tree sparrows, juncos, flickers, red winged blackbirds, grackles, cedar waxwings, robins, a hairy woodpecker, purple finches, hawks, ducks, chickadees, magpies and more along roads near Covenant Cedars and Lake Mary's Ranch Camp. The observer notes how behavior aids ID and records new sightings for 1974 including ruby crowned kinglets and eastern phoebes.
