Life on Battle Point Beach Scene and shoreline life
The Battle Point beach is divided into gravel rocks and mud flats where eel grass grows. Seagulls, sandpipers, coots, herons and kingfishers feed on clams and crabs while barnacles and seaweed decorate the rocks. Mussels and snails populate the shore as a child recalls collecting crabs and pops seaweed.
