Miss Mable Clark daughter of Sherman Clark and Lloyd Clever son of O F Oleson exchanged vows after taking the train from Mallard to Ft. Dodge. They will tour Des Moines Boone and other places for a two week visit. The ceremony united two respected families in a community noted for its patriotism and social warmth. The Mallard Community Club hosted with readings piano duets and a luncheon.

Catfish clog electric plant wheel in Iowa flume

Hutchins Dead, Laurens Settler Dies in Amoret
A letter from W C Starr of Leon reports the death of C H Hutchins, longtime Laurens area pioneer who had lived recent years in Amoret Missouri. He died in Joplin Missouri on February 12 after an operation, with both legs removed at the knees to save his life. Diabetes followed by gangrene and blood poisoning caused death. burial was at Amoret on February 14. He is survived by his wife in poor health and several relatives including G P Hutchins of Des Moines, Mrs W C Starr of Leon, B F Hutchins of Chicago, and Eva Hutchins Simpson of Amoret. all were with him except George Hutchins.

Two youths fined for disturbance and restaurant scrap
Two young men who disrupted a basketball game and disturbed residents in the southeast part of town were fined ten dollars and costs by the mayor on Saturday. A restaurant scrap Saturday night led to two men contributing five dollars and trim mings to the town treasurer as officers await a third offender's return.
