Purple Heart Awarded to Pt Grove Soldier

The 1922 Pleasant Grove Strawberry Day parade and festivities are recounted from the Pleasant Grove Review file. The Wasatch Club hosted a 14 float parade Visions of Pleasant Grove with a Wild West show bought with notes from officers. Attendance neared 12 000 with free strawberries and 1 000 cases donated by growers.

Mr and Mrs Arvil Wadley announce their son in law D Douglas Kohler has earned the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine at the recent commencement. A Logan Utah native he is a son of Darrell Kohler and a graduate of South Cache High School and Utah State University. He served a LDS mission in Austria, married Suzanne Wadley and has a one year old son. He will complete an internship at University of Utah Hospital followed by a surgery residency.

Funeral notices for Sp-4 Henson Walker killed in Vietnam
Sp-4 Henson Walker 24 of Lindon was killed on active duty in Vietnam while serving in the 196th Light Infantry Brigade near Chu Lia. Born Sept. 11, 1945, in American Fork, he was a Pleasant Grove High School graduate and later attended Utah Technical College and BYU. Funeral services are pending with Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
