Bride Feted in Bluebell Wedding at Salt Lake Temple

Miss Vale Johnson daughter of Martha K Johnson and Albert Han cock of Bluebell Utah were married in the Salt Lake temple on June 12. Hancock has been teaching Schom for the past few years at Bluebell. Mrs Viola Martin and Miss Thelma Walker hosted a shower Friday evening Alicia Crawford and Avera Shit hosted a shower Saturday evening June 12. Mrs Wrinkler of Bluebell who Vola lived with while teaching Chere also hosted a shower Saturday June 5. Mrs Hencock hosted a breakfast Sunday morning for those who entertained.

Pleasant Grove residents share visits and illnesses in a long list of kin and friends. Local figures attend conferences, reunions, and weddings while guests travel from California, Ogden, and Logan to join families in town.

Miss Mildeed Frampton daughter of Mr and Mrs Rey Frampton and Elwood Allen son of Mr and Mrs John K Allen were married in the Salt Lake temple on Tuesday June 16. A reception followed at Seeout ward Amusement hall with Liverey Murdock as best man and Gene Richins Nyrah Roundy Loraine Swenson as bridesmaids. The bride wore white satin with a tram of over five and carried white roses. Mrs Josiah Kemp and Mrs Howard Matthews managed the gift room. A fine program and music by the Pagan orchestra accompanied the dancing.

Church News Stake Speakers Set for Third Sunday

Stake missionaries will speak at the wards on the third Sunday. Sunday School Union meets in the Second ward chapel at 2 00 p m. Genealogical union is not held this month. Choir rehearsals began for the M I A under stake and ward leaders for the June stake conference. Relief Society meetings suspended for summer. A business and work meeting is set for the second Tuesday each month. Parts of the stake plan a Junior Genealogical excursion to the Salt Lake temple Saturday.

Missionary Wayne Johnson Leaves for Swedish Mission

Wayne Johnson son of Mr and Mrs Hyrum E Johnson departs June 10 for Swedish mission after a stay at the Salt Lake City mission home He studied at Pleasant Grove schools and spent two years at BYU Provo He will sail on the S S Manhattan on June 16.

Birth Announcements for Three New Babies

Mr and Mrs Clifton Harper announce their first grandchild a girl born June 7 at the Harper Anderson home weighing six and a half pounds. Dale Hartfield welcomed a baby boy on June 10. Elda Nelson Hartfield, formerly a telephone operator, is the mother. Pete Maiken and wife Lucile Hebertson announce a baby girl born June 12 at the West home.

Former Resident Called to Reward

Hugh A Jacobs formerly of Pleasant Grove and a Heber resident for twenty years died suddenly at his Heber home on Tuesday about 10 o'clock from apoplexy. He was married to Lindell West in November 1889. Surviving children are H W Jacobs Pleasant Grove Thomas Jacobs Orem Mrs Florence Nelson and Mrs Emma Duke Heber. Fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Heber Friday at 2:00 p.m. and interment will be in Heber cemetery.

Infant Dies at Crane Maternity Home Provo

Nine day old infant son of Myron and Leone Burgh Jense died at the Crane Maternity Home in Provo on Tuesday evening June 15. Cause of death not stated. Survived by parents and grandparents Mr and Mrs Claude Burgh of American Fork and other relatives. Funeral services held Thursday at 2:00 p m at Olpin Funeral parlors. Also notes birth of first child a boy to Mr and Mrs Winston Gillis born June 10 former Donna Richins. A bicycle accident on the corner of First North and First East involved a Price boy and a car from American Fork. injury not serious but bicycle damaged. Warns riders that riding on sidewalks is unlawful and dangerous.
