Christmas Program Set at Busy School

The school plans a Christmas program on December 7 from 7 to 8 30 PM. The event features a carol reception with a nativity retold by Marvin Pierson and songs directed by Ure art program. Children and families are invited to attend and bring peace to the season. A visit from SUCCESSFUL was noted and Lindon S received a shot during participation.

Camp New Pretram Hosts Holiday Events

The Sunday program in December drew hearty support from all camp members. Lincoln High band and a quartet entertained, with Te. Chaulain TE notes. Curtis Jr. shared Christmas real spirit tales and an illustrated birthplace talk. Chaplain Curtis to return with another program.

Baby dies in Ephraim after meningitis

Infant, daughter of Mr and Mrs Bidon Brindley of Ephraim, died Saturday morning from meningitis and was buried in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery with Bias Burton Adams of the Second Ward conducting funeral rites. Granddaughter of Mrs Ethel Brindley of this city. New library purchases include Caddie Woodlawn and Anthony Adverse among others.

Church News on Stake Board Missionary Visits

The Primary Stake Board members visited the Manila ward on Tuesday as part of a series of ward visits. Sunday, the third Sunday of the month, is set for home missionary visits with the High Council of the stake assigned to this duty. The Manila ward will have a presiding event in this effort.

The Manila ward presents a Christmas program at 6 00 PM with Byard Allen handling decorations and a pageant titled The Annewer. Cast includes Zolenly Helen Warnick Giduidon Kay Swenson Samuel the Lamoribe Jasper Eves and more. A Salt Lake chorus of twenty voices will perform under Segifield Nitsch with Amos Merrill speaking on teaching the Book of Mormon. Stake leaders urge full house due to the event’s value and expense.

Christmas Program Schedule and Primary Events

The Primaries plan Christmas exercises on Tuesday and a home missionary visit to the first ward is postponed for one week due to the Sunday School program. The Manila ward Primary aims to present a picture show at the Alhambra Theatre on Tuesday December.

Services Held For H Ray Newman

Funeral services were held in the Third Ward chapel Saturday at 2:00 p.m. for H Ray Newman who died at age 75. Neighbors and church members offered tributes, spoke of his courteous nature, and noted his willingness to help others. The service included music and a graveside dedication at City Cemetery.

Firemen Respond Quickly To Oil Motor Fire

Fire department members rushed to Harvey Motor Co around 10:00 a m Saturday when oil on a motor caught fire. No serious damage occurred due to the prompt actions of the firefighters.

Ten Years Ago Now Pleasant Grove clock honors town history

A clock donated by the Bank of Pleasant Grove is set at the corner to be read from nearby streets. It marks quarters and halves and reflects a public convenience welcomed by residents. The Pleasant Grove Fire Department, housed near Main Street, comprises 24 volunteers with a fast response, while Blaine W. Warnick sails for a mission in January. The Pleasant Grove Pressed Brick Co reports ongoing brick production and future kiln plans, and a court of honor in the First Ward honors scouts, including John R. Halliday Jr. earning Eagle Scout and others receiving merit badges.
