Annual Christmas Program Set For Dec 22 At High School

Pleasant Grove schools present their annual Christmas festival on December 22 at 8 pm in the high school auditorium. Junior High Boys chorus Senior High Band and A Cappella choir perform, under music directors Leslie Rees and Harvey Rawlinson. Public invited with no admission charge.

Vella Liston Joins National Garden Clubs Committee

Mrs Vella Liston of the Nat Garden Club was named to the National Committee of Garden Clubs this week. She receives the appointment through Mrs Sam Peeples of Mississippi, president of the National Garden Clubs. Liston will serve as the Italy state president of the Junior Garden Club and work with Mrs Peeples to organize junior clubs.

Harvey Leads Utah Delegation on Colorado River Inspection

Leo Harvey, board member of the Utah Water and Power Board on the Upper Colorado River Committee, departed Tuesday for an inspection trip of the Lower Colorado River and will attend the Pacific Southwest Inter-Agency Meeting in Yuma, Arizona, December 13 to 15. Governor J Bracken Lee, Attorney General E R Callister, and Board Chairman Charles Redd accompany him. the party flew from Salt Lake City.

Postmaster Expects Usual Group To Mail Too Late

Postmaster Kay Mills reports business at the local Post Office is picking up with many patrons mailing packages early and dropping greeting cards. Manila Ward Christmas Program Directed by Manila-ettes
