Greek American residents of Tarpon Springs staged a brass band and dances for Vice President Spiro T. Agnew, drawing a 2,500 strong welcome in a city founded by immigrant sponge divers. Agnew spoke at a Republican dinner in St. Petersburg and then headed to Pittsburgh after touring the Miami area and Tarpon Springs.

Destin Teen Injured After Pedestrian Collision
Rol and Chambliss 17 of Opp Ala was injured late Tuesday when he walked into the path of an oncoming car in Destin. He suffered head injuries and was semi conscious, rushed to Fort Walton Beach hospital. He was later moved to Pensacola for further treatment and examination.
