The couple, married September 17 1873, shared attire and decor from earlier days, with family descendants in attendance including son Guy in Texas. Roy Kirkpatrick died in 1919, others reside in Dallas, and Rev. Lemon officiated the original ceremony.

Making Good On Farm From Tuesday’s Darty
Henry Steinhauer of Veteran Wyoming visits from Darty with melon and potato samples from Harvey Heneger’s irrigated homestead. Heneger’s oat yield reached 60 bushels per acre and potato crop could amount to about a carload and a half, valued at 21.30 per cwt. Steinhauer plans to return soon to help with potato digging.

Death of Anton Nitka After Long Illness
Anton Stephen Nitka died after a long illness at his sister’s home in Plattsmouth. He was born in Germany in 1869, came to America as a child, and lived in Plattsmouth since 1875. Survived by his sister Mrs. Schulhof and three cousins, his funeral will be held Tuesday at St. John’s Catholic Church with burial in the Catholic cemetery.

Car Skids Into Ditch No Injuries Reported in Missouri Valley Crash
Sam Gouchenour of Missouri Valley Iowa drives a Ford touring car east on Clara Street toward Smith avenue when a culvert corner sends the vehicle into the ditch. The top is crushed but no serious injuries occur to Gouchenour his wife or three children who were en route to visit relatives. The car is extricated and driven back to town for top repairs delaying the visit for hours.

State Agents Close In On Avoca Still Suspects
State Deputy sheriffs headed by F A Hlomes visited Avoca last week and fined four locals about 800 dollars in Justice William Weber’s court. Mike Postello admitted selling liquor to an agent and importing three batches of corn juice. He and three others were each fined 100 dollars plus costs, and Postello was jailed until payment. Officials also learned of a still to be seized and destroyed.
