Blow at Church Unity He Says
The Rev. Dr. George Craig Stewart of St. Luke's Evanston opposes Episcopal entry into the Federal Council of Churches calling it a terrific blow to church unity. He argues it would confuse Roman Catholics and Protestants and mislead Protestant denominations about Episcopalian identity. He supports cooperation via the Episcopal social service commission instead.
