James Fitzgerald 80 died suddenly Sunday morning at the Edward Fitzgerald farm near Mynard after decades of heart trouble. Born August 12 1856 in Prophetstown Illinois he was one of ten children and survived by a Texas brother and several Cass County relatives. Funeral arrangements set with Horton funeral home in town.

Two Murray boys Gerald Noel, 13, and Harold Noel, 10, took Peter Gradeville's 1930 Chevrolet from near the public library in Murray. They drove to Lincoln where police found the damaged car after they wrecked it by a courthouse. Deputies located the youths, who left home Sunday without notice. They are kept at home awaiting a decision on next steps.

Brian-Jensen Co Appeals Porter Case in Supreme Court
The state supreme court was asked to overturn a compensation award to Maude W. Porter widow of J. Ray Porter who died in a February 21 1935 automobile crash nine miles north of Nebraska City. Porter was a Brian-Jensen salesman and the appeal argues he was not acting within his employment and that Porter was willfully negligent. Forrest Wilson also died in the wreck.
