Reign of terror in Plattsmouth sparks wild train chase
Saturday night in Plattsmouth a band of about forty hoboes seized an empty boxcar on a Burlington line and staged a chaotic siege. Sheriff Quinton, Chief Rainey, and local volunteers armed with shotguns chased the crowd through the hills and cut, surrounding and arresting twenty two men after a tense standoff near the big bridge.
