Park Board Maps Changes at Tourist Park Washington Ave

The Park Board led by Tippens Lutz and Schmidtmann outlines plans to make Tourist Park self sustaining. They propose moving shelter house and open air store north to create more parking and widen the park alley. They aim to improve the athletic field used by city baseball teams and school football and track teams. They consider fencing the park to allow admissions and fund upkeep. A small usage fee for the park could deter undesirable motorists and help revenue while explaining parking system studies across city grounds.
