Missouri Pacific Plans Fast Train Between Omaha and St Louis
Superintendent De Bernard announced in Omaha that Missouri Pacific will debut a fast train this fall linking Omaha and St Louis with a six hour and a quarter run, about three quarters of the current time. Renewals between Omaha and Avian are to finish by July with 85 pound rails laid on the high line to Omaha from Kansas City, ballasting to finish this fall using Joplin material and Platte river stone. The rebuilding time for the low line via Weeping Water is not yet set.
