Funeral of Mrs. M. M. Beal Held at Her Late Home
Funeral services were held at the M. M. Beal home on South Sun Street for Mrs. M. M. Beal. Rev. H. G. McClusky conducted the rites and offered consolation to her husband and children. A male quartet sang two hymns before the body was taken to Oak Hill Cemetery for burial.

Annie Whiteman Smith, aged 89, widow of George S. Smith and sister-in-law to C. H. Smith, died at her California home after a life in Cass County and on the West Coast. Boy Dragged to Death in Nebraska Hayride Accident
Wil liam Thierolf fourteen or fifteen year old son of Mr and Mrs Ones Thierolf of Verdel Nebraska was fatally injured when driving a hay rake team. The horses ran away and dragged him about 300 yards before rescue, with injuries proving fatal later. He was a nephew of Albert Thierolf and lives near Utica. News of the death brings sorrow to local friends.
