H H Berbeling was an Omaha passenger Thursday morning. There was a little excitement in town when Reese's youngest son Louie was playing in the fire. The curtain caught and the kitchen burned inside. Bet tie picked up a pail of water and put the fire out. Mr and Mrs M W Wood and family autoed to Lincoln for commencement exercises. Their granddaughter Martha Staton graduated. Mr and Mrs H H Gerbeling autoed to Lincoln and took Mrs Eva Ivers to Colorado. Theodore Miller was a Lincoln passenger. Edward Colbert went to Weeping.

Hemke Death Ends Long German Roots in Local Family
William Hemke born in Germany in 1852 died Friday at his sons’ home aged 65 after forty years’ residence in the city. Married Ernestina Bauers on December 20 1875, with three daughters and two sons surviving. two daughters died in infancy. Funeral at church north of Murdock with Rev. J. W. Peters delivering the sermon.

Young couple joins in wedlock in Nebraska City
Miss Golda Stephenson and Mr. Earl Irelan wed in a simple afternoon ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents in Nebraska City. Rev J S Spears officiated with a white beaded georgette crepe gown and roses. The couple will honeymoon then start housekeeping on South Sixth Street in Plattsmouth.

Thursday's Daily reports Aubrey H Duxbury commander of the local American Legion post has earned admission to the Nebraska bar and to practice in federal courts after passing the state bar exam He studied in A L Tidd's office and served in the navy during World War I before resuming his legal work and completing his course.
