Will Test Farm Truck Law in Supreme Court
The Nebraska Supreme Court heard arguments over whether farm trucks under 4,000 pounds need an eight dollar license fee under a 1919 farm relief provision. John O Schmidt of Saunders County sought a license for a 2,450 pound truck with a one ton capacity, arguing total weight applies. The attorney general contends total weight should be used. Schmidt argues actual truck weight governs.
