Majestic Decoration Day Tribute By Rev Gade
On Decoration Day a procession from the G A R hall formed to the church for a service led by Rev Gade. He honored soldiers of the Civil War and Lincoln, urged remembrance, and prayed as veterans and officials gathered before moving to Oak Hill and Holy Sepulcher cemeteries for wreaths and prayers.

Pioneer woman Mrs Mary Schlater dies in Plattsmouth
Mrs Mary Josephine Donelan Schlater died at her son Frank Schlater's home on North Fifth Street after a stroke. Born September 28, 1834 in Abington Indiana she lived in Plattsmouth for most of her life and left three children. Funeral Mass at St Johns Catholic Church with interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

Fred Ohm Jr violated peace, was arrested in Louisville, placed under a 500 bond he could not post. Convicted of disturbing the peace and menacing his wife, he was sent to Cass county jail in Plattsmouth by Town Marshal Cam Seybert until bond is furnished.

A May 30 ceremony at Judge and Mrs. H D Travis home joined Miss Helen Travis and Archibald Cole of Plainview Nebraska in marriage. Rev Lew W Gade officiated the ring ceremony as Helen wore an embroidered voile gown. The couple planned a Chicago departure and will reside in Plainview after July 4.

Travel salesman injured in high speed car crash near Raymond
J. W. Stradley of Greenwood Nebraska was hurt when his two seated car hit a culvert northwest of Raymond. The vehicle somersaulted twice before landing on the roadside and was demolished. Stradley suffered a broken collar bone a base skull fracture and severe contusions with possible internal injuries. He was hospitalized in Lincoln.
