Bucks of the Timber Hold Picnic at Riverview Park
The Bucks of the Timber held their annual picnic at Riverview Park near King Hill south of town. About fifty attended as new members were initiated into the order. A large feast, trees shaded tables, and swings plus portable organ music fed a day of camaraderie for families of Ada Werris Slocumb Beckner Reeves Grant Ranard and others.

German Presbyterian Church Building Cleared for Remodeling
The pulpit and seats from the German Presbyterian church were removed after Judge J. B. Douglass bought the building for remodeling and to supply a mission church in Twin Brooks. Peters & Richards began work, removing the tower and preparing the main structure. The bell was taken down and will be shipped east to church headquarters for assignment to other congregations.

Boy Scouts Plan Hike With George McLafferty Next Saturday
A scout master under a citizen committee will lead Boy Scout activities three miles south of town last Saturday and plans a hike next Saturday at 9 am. Glen Rhoden 15 Assaulted After Ride Near Mynard
Glen Rhoden a 15 year old farmer from near Mynard was assaulted on the road while returning from delivering wheat. Two men riding with him allegedly offered a drink a bottle was produced and he was struck and left bruised before being taken home for treatment. Sheriff will await a formal complaint before arrests and there were no definite identifications.
