Thirty women gathered at Mrs. T. P. Livingstons home for talks by Mrs. Draper Smith of Omaha and Mrs. B. A. Kirkpatrick of Nehawka on equal suffrage. A Plattsmouth Franchise Club was organized with officers led by President Agnes Chapman and Vice Presidents T. P. Livingston and Major Hall. The group adopted Votes for Women as a guiding slogan and set a regular meeting for next Wednesday afternoon July 16.

Passing of Charles Spangler Pioneer Citizen of Gass County
Charles Spangler, a respected long time resident seven miles north of Weeping Water, died yesterday after a three year illness. Born in Beaver Ohio seventy five years ago, he moved to Nebraska in 1889 and lived on the Maxwell farm before settling on his own farm near Weeping Water. He leaves a wife and twelve children and one brother in Beaver Ohio. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the United Brethren Church after a home service, with interment in Hominie Cemetery.
