The Tuxedo club of Omaha defeated the Red Sox 98 to 17 at the local ballpark Sunday. Lee opened with a double and Hunter scored on his single, Schlische scoring on an error. Schlische hit a triple in the Plattsmouth half but was left at third. The Sox rallied in the fifth with four hits and five runs but the visitors added seven more in the second and five in the seventh to seal the win. The Red Sox next host the Peter Pan team of Omaha with Stubby Mack pitching.

Rains Slow Grasshoppers in Nebraska Field Campaign
State entomologist L M Gates reports rains revive crop prospects in the grasshopper territory of northeast Nebraska. While rains slow the Hoppers they still do damage. Poison bait will be shipped to Niobrara and Boyd county areas, with about fifteen carloads already furnished. A parasitic fly may curb hoppers by month end if weather stays favorable.

Cruise starts for six Omaha sea scouts along Loup and Platts

Scarlet fever cases limited among CCC workers at Camp Tyee
Reports from Camp Tyee in Oregon say scarlet fever cases are confined to a few and workers are receiving injections to prevent illness.
