Night robbers strike Greenwood stores in Cass county raid
A gang from Omaha raided seven Greenwood business locations including three garages two confectionaries and two groceries. They broke windows and unlocked doors but left little money behind and fled before dawn. Bloodhounds from Lincoln tracked the scent but stopped east of town. Sheriff Quinton traveled to Greenwood to assess the scene amid ongoing investigations.

The Platte Mutual Insurance company held its annual meeting on Saturday afternoon and re elected all officers. Passing of an Other Pioneer William Fields Hill
William Fields Hill aged over eighty, long resident of Cass County Nebraska, died last Thursday after a weeklong illness. He arrived in Ohio in 1828 and later moved to Nebraska fifty years ago, married Miss Mars Bird in 1858, and is survived by his wife, five sons Wesler Joseph James George Charles, and three daughters Mrs Allun Exline Mrs Minnie Morrow Mrs Louise Wood with one daughter who died in infancy. Funeral at Lewiston church north of Union conducted by Rev W A Tayior on January 22, interment Lewiston Cemetery.

First Semester Examinations Open at University of Nebraska

Death of Henry Miller after months of illness
Henry Miller, a longtime Plattsmouth resident and former Elks clubhouse manager, died after several months of illness in Lincoln at age 55. He leaves five children, five sisters, one brother, and was a member of the Eagles and Plattsmouth BPOE. Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Elks lodge with Elks conduct at the grave.
