Meisinger Family Honored in Cass County Tribute and Local Skate Night

Last evening the T. J. Sokol hall hosted a large farewell for Carl Crist and his family as they prepare to move to a farming area near Sidney. Friends and neighbors enjoyed music by the Bohemian brass band, a generous lunch, and warm best wishes for the couple’s new home.

Sudden Death of Luther Boedeker in Louisville

Luther Boedeker of Louisville died in his sleep likely from heart failure aged 59. He had lived in Louisville since 1879 and worked in stock buying and shipping after earlier meat business. He married Judith Ossenkop in 1878. children were Maude Henry and Fred. His second wife Lena Rheinart died in 1887. daughter Katherine died years ago. Funeral plans awaited word from son Fred near Norfolk. brother Charles Boedeker from Murray to assist.
