Lindsay Thomas Linday dies by carbolic acid despondency
Funeral services for Thomas Lindsay, longtime Cass County resident, were held at Murray Christian church. He died last Thursday night in Cedar County after taking carbolic acid in a despondent mood. Born in Plattsmouth in 1873, he worked as a farmer near Murray and was married to Ida Harns eighteen years ago. He was a brother to George, Peter, and Samuel Lindsay. Interment followed at Young Cemetery near Murray.

No Decision Yet on the School Bond Question
The district court completed the school bond contest case yesterday afternoon and submitted it to Judge Begley. Witnesses showed an even split in votes for and against the bonds, with many refusing to answer about illegal voting until compelled by court rulings.
