Directors of the Tri-County Poultry and Pet Stock association comprising Cass Saunders and Sarpy counties met at the Hotel Rileyn and chose officers for 1930 and decided to hold the show in this city. Thieves Steal Harness Rings From Barn Near City
Frank Scott, living south of the city, was robbed as thieves took white ornamental rings from nine harness sets in his barn. Sheriff Bert Reed and Chief Joe Libershal investigated, fearing the rings may be moved into town to be sold.

Leaves on sad mission for Bay City sister's passing
Attorney D O Dwyer left Saturday for Bay City Michigan after a message of his sister Mrs Mary Blackhurst Midland City Michigan grew grave. This morning a later message announced her death about an hour before he could reach her bedside. Mrs Blackhurst was his only sister and about seventy five years old. He receives wide community sympathy.
