Death by Paris Green Tragedy in Glenwood
Mrs. Henry Dose died at her home in Glenwood after taking Paris green in a personal crisis. An inquest was deemed unnecessary. funeral held at her home with Rev. R. L. Palmerton officiating. Born Katherine Hammer in 1838 in Holstein Germany, she married Henry Dowe in 1861 and moved to Glenwood in 1867. Survived by husband and five children, with four brothers and a sister residing nearby.
