County to Build New Jail North of Court House
County commissioners let the contract for a new two story jail on the blocks north of the courthouse. L G Larson of this city is the lowest bidder for the building at 9350 with plumbing and heating bid to John Bauer at 1372.05. Architect Joe Guth of Omaha designed the modern sanitary structure to house magistrates, male and female wards, and the sheriff with family quarters. Lukel L. Red Polled Bull Shipped to Oklahoma by Wiles

Court hears case over alleged whisky sale at Riley hotel restaurant

Death of Aged Gentleman at Masonic Home
John Barton aged resident of the Masonic Home died after a stroke this morning at 4 39 he never fully regained consciousness. The body was sent to Scribner Nebraska for funeral services. Barton moved to the Home in June of last year and was a bright cheerful figure loved by the circle there.
