Plattsmouth leaders push for a condensed milk factory model after a Waterloo Creamery plan. Leroy Corliss of the Waterloo company says a plant could open in six to eight months if 25 000 pounds of daily milk supply is secured within ten miles. Farmers near Plattsmouth are urged to indicate milk commitments and contact T H Pollock or A L Tidd within the area dairy group.

Last evening a large crowd gathered at the country home of Mr and Mrs F H Steppat three and a half miles west of town for a surprise farewell party in honor of Miss Anna Steppat who with her parents plans to move to Blair Nebraska. Neighbors arrived by sleigh enjoying dancing games and music with a midnight luncheon. Participants included Miss Helen Trinity and many local residents with Mrs Steppat and Mr Steppat hosting a festive social before the move.

Fire at Richardson Home In Fourth Ward
Fire at the John Richardson residence in the Fourth ward occurred about 7 30 this morning and nearly destroyed the small dwelling. Mrs Richardson was saved by neighbors and taken to a nearby home. Richardson’s 17 year old son suffered burns while helping to fight the blaze. the cause is thought to be an overheated stovepipe. The fire department arrived promptly preventing spread to nearby homes and the owner faces heavy losses from the second house fire.

Fifth Death In Family In Omaha Area Funeral Planned
The funeral for Mrs. Calvin Crabtree aged 39, long ill at an Omaha hospital, will be held this afternoon at the Christian church with Mr. Meyers directing. She was the fifth death in the family in nine months, two sisters having died earlier and a brother and nephew taking their own lives. She leaves her husband, mother Mrs. Mary Irons, one sister Mrs. Gene Comer, and four brothers Charlie, John, Henry, and Reuben.
