Fay McClintock, an auto mechanic at Ruse Motor Co., is hospitalized in Omaha with a possible skull fracture and multiple injuries after a two-vehicle wreck on Highway No. 5 south of town. Injured riders include Michael Hausladen, Oscar Weber, and Ernest Zohn of Nebraska City, all treated locally before transfer or admission. The crash occurred when a southbound Hausladen car and a northbound Nebraska City V-8 Ford collided after visibility issues on McConker hill near Pittman place. Charles R. Stanger, 27, dies in Colorado Springs February 11 after a two year illness. He was born March 18, 1909, son of Henry and Mrs. Stander of near South Bend, married Selma Rohrdantz February 9, 1932, with three children Dorothy May Willis Herbert and Leland Charles. Funeral at Trinity Lutheran church north of Murdock conducted by Rev. Krey with burial in Trinity Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Conrad Reinke Paul Reinke John Jones Marvin Sutton Louis Wendt and Paul Kupke. Surviving: widow three children his parents two sisters Eva Roeber and Helen Mooney and two brothers Cedi and Herbert Stander.
