Funeral Largely Attended for Patrick Blessington
The Louisville Courier reports the funeral of Patrick Blessington, longtime Gretna Catholic Church member, held last Thursday with many Cass and Sarpy county friends in attendance. Born 1822 in County Cavan Ireland, he immigrated in 1849 and later lived in Michigan and Chicago before moving to Nebraska in 1857. He leaves seven children in Omaha Wichita and Chicago Madrid and Omaha.
