Mrs. Gertrude L. Morgan Dies at Home in City
Mrs. Gertrude L. Morgan widow of Frank J. Morgan longtime mayor and Nebraska Democratic leader died Sunday night at her home after a week long illness from pneumonia. Born Gertrude L. Swift in 1863 she moved to Nebraska as a child and lived in Plattsmouth before marrying in 1885. Survived by son Paul C. Morgan and sister Mrs. Anna Horn with husband predeceasing her twenty years ago. She was active in Eastern Star Woman's Club WCTU and other groups.
