Death of a Pioneer Silas Greenslate
Silas E. Greenslate a Nebraska pioneer and longtime Cass county resident died Wednesday night at his Omaha home at age 81 after a hip fracture in November 1915 and a prolonged decline. Survived by widow two daughters Mrs Berths Swearingen Fern and two sons Ellis and Dean Greenslate. Funeral today at 2 pm from 522 South Forty-first Street Omaha with Rev. Charles E. Cobbey. interment West Lawn Cemetery.

Murray youth undergoes surgery for year old arm injury
Barney Smith son of Mr Mrs T B Smith near Murray was operated on yesterday at St Josephs hospital Omaha for an arm injury from a peculiarly accident near his home. The operation at 11 am left him resting easy and doctors hope for full relief. The arm had been paralyzed and mostly useless for about a year after being pinned by a falling tree.
